Engineered Fire Suppression system designs are driven by the pursuit of protecting life and property by means and methods as dictated in state building codes and NFPA guidelines. By recognizing this life safety responsibility and targeting the challenges of the individual project, SAR's Fire Protection Engineering team strives to provide system designs that are code compliant and meet the needs of the client as well as the requests of the Authority Having Jurisdiction.

The challenges include various hazards and occupancies within the same structure, methods and materials used in construction, routes of egress, areas of refuge and coordination between Electrical and HVAC engineers with regards to smoke and heat detection, smoke evacuation and integration with fire alarm systems.

Instrumentation and Controls

SAR has over 15 years of experience in providing instrumentation and controls engineering design for the wastewater and water treatment industries. Systems include full plant and district wide telemetry SCADA systems, remote pump station monitoring/control, pump control panels, OEM equipment interface and instrumentation implementation to ensure the required control, monitoring, human interface and data recording for these stringent industries.
